Side Tab Labels
The Side Tab labelling system is employed where files
are being stored or accessed using a lateral filing system (shelf-based).
The labels are applied to the flap of the file according to your
individual colour-code system. Alpha, numeric, terminal, triple
digit, subject and geographical filing systems can be maintained
using the Side Tab labelling system and the labels are available
in full and half sizes.
Colour Code filing is the concept of utilising coloured
labels to highlight the indexing. This works equally well for Alpha
or Numeric or any combination. The efficiency gains are dramatic,
while reducing maintenance costs.

title of the file using the label colours to separate one
section from another, increasing the accuracy and user-friendly
nature of the alphabetical filing system. These labels suit
both Side Tab and Top Tab systems.
To assist you, AusRecord has set up a template for printing with Index labels. The label is set to L7163 for typing.
