The Concept of Fire Prevention Products
Fire Protection Products commonly found in the market place collectively known as Fire Resistant Cabinets (FRC). They are most suitable for protecting documents and data against destruction by fire.
By international standard (JIS S 1037:1998), during a fire when the temperature rises up to 1000oC for a period of at least 1 hour.
The interior of the FRC should remain at 180oC or lower to protect paper documents and at 52oC or lower to protect computer discs and their data. When removed after the test, the documents and diskettes should remain intact, accessible and fully legible.
The latest models of ARD4, ARD3 and ARD2, have produced lower internal temperatures when subjected to these tests.
Suitable for use in government agencies, miliary forces and defence facilities, Research and Development, financial institutions and insurance companies.
